Ashley is gecast in het tweede seizoen van de YouTube serie ‘Step Up: High Water’! De opnames van het nieuwe seizoen zouden momenteel plaats vinden in Atlanta, en is volgend jaar te zien op het online platform. Ashley zal de rol van Nine Sanders spelen.

Rapper Rick Ross and YouTube star Todrick Hall also will appear as themselves on the YouTube drama’s forthcoming second season.
The world of Step Up: High Water is getting a little bigger.

YouTube is adding several new characters to the dance drama ahead of its second-season premiere. Joining the cast for the new season, which will bow in 2019, are Twilight actress Ashley Greene and dancer-choreographer Jeremy Copeland.

Also set to return to the show is Ne-Yo, who will reprise his role as Sage Odom, the founder of the High Water Performing Arts School in Atlanta.

Greene will star as Nine Sanders, a New York-based A&R rep who returns to Atlanta to oversee the details of Sage’s tour. Copeland will play Zo Browder, a gender-fluid professional dancer who brings real-world experience to Sage’s crew.

High Water, which is based on Lionsgate’s Step Up franchise, tells the story of the students and teachers at a performing arts school. The films’ originals producers — Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Meredith Milton — all executive produce alongside original stars Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan. The series was created and executive produced by showrunner Holly Sorensen.

Season two will see Ne-Yo reunite with Naya Rivera, who stars as dancer-turned-administrator Collette, and the rest of the series regulars, including Petrice Jones and Faizon Love.

Rapper Rick Ross and YouTube star Todrick Hall will appear as themselves in the second season. Also making a cameo is choreographer JaQuel Knight, who also choreographed episode three.

Production on the 10-episode second season of High Water is currently underway in Atlanta.

De serie is te zien op YouTube Premium, een betaald platform van Youtube waarbij exclusieve videocontent bekeken kan worden en de gehele website reclamevrij wordt. Het is dus mogelijk dat de serie alleen te bekijken is met dit abbonement en dus niet vrij te bekijken is.

Ashley heeft sinds vandaag 1 miljoen volgers op instagram, ze zal een instagram live story doen om 17 uur (Amerikaanse tijd) waarin ze enkele vragen zal beantwoorden van fans/volgers. Daarnaast kocht Paul bloemen voor haar om het te vieren :)

Gisteren was er een screening van Ashley’s nieuwste film ‘Antiquities’ in Arkansas tijdens de Arkansas Cinema Society’s Filmland, tickets voor de film waren binnen een uur uitverkocht waardoor en nog een tweede voorstelling gepland werd. Regiseur Daniel Cambell had onderstaand interview met arktimes.com over het proces rondom de lange productie van de film. Een review van de film was positief waarbij die omschreven werd als “smooth, delightful film filled with quirky, familiar characters”.

“Antiquities,” a feature film set largely in North Little Rock and starring Mary Steenburgen and Ashley Greene, has been almost a decade in the making. That timeline has built up some anticipation: Its Arkansas debut on Aug. 24 as part of the Arkansas Cinema Society’s Filmlands old out in one hour (a second screening was added for 11 a.m. Aug. 26).

But the lengthy process didn’t exactly work out so well financially for its creators. Graham Gordy, who co-wrote the screenplay with writer/director Daniel Campbell, joked recently that he and Campbell had made about 3 cents per hour for all the time they’d put into the project. “For this, it’s romance, not finance,” Gordy said.

The story starts back in 2009, when Campbell made a 14-minute short film, also called “Antiquities.” It was his first foray behind the camera. He’d caught the filmmaking bug a year earlier, when he worked in Memphis in the casting department for the indie film “Nothing But the Truth” (Matt Dillon, Kate Beckinsale), but he still had a day job in Little Rock as gang prevention coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club.

The “Antiquities” short followed Terrence (Little Rock actor and comedian Jason Thompson in a hilarious wig) and his shit-talking antique mall boss, Blundale (local radio host Roger Scott), as they bounced around town, with stops at a strip club and an urban barbershop, in an attempt to prep Terrence to ask a co-worker out on a date. With “John Hughes by-way-of Wes Anderson charm,” as John Tarpley described it in the Arkansas Times, the film won the inaugural Charles B. Pierce Award for the best film made in Arkansas at the Little Rock Film Festival in 2010.

De laatste instagramfoto’s van Ashley staan in de galerij. De afgelopen maand was ze op huwelijksreis met Paul in Hawaii. Waar ze o.a. onderstaande foto van poste terwijl ze op een naaktstrand poseerde. Maar zo gerust was ze over het maken van de foto aangezien ze het volgende zei tegen TMZ:

“You kind of hike up behind this rock, I don’t know that it’s actually legal, but we were there early. If I get arrested and I miss my flight for this, I’m gonna kill you.’”

Ashley heeft tijdens de screening van ‘Antiquities’ vorige maand gepraat met CelebMix.com over de film:

“I was excited to be a part of Antiquities because there is something so endearing and authentic about the story, even in the wild scenarios we’re thrown into. The characters are outrageous, but the themes at heart are relatable.

“Ellie (who I play) can’t bring herself to face the pain of the loss of her brother so she deflects and uses comedy. She thrives in making others uncomfortable with her brazen, inappropriate, yet hilarious comments and behavior. It takes someone like Walt, who has recently suffered a similar loss, to help her get past that.

“I’ve never portrayed a character like Ellie… honestly I was terrified, but it was such an incredible experience and I’m so proud to have been a part of the film.”

Ashley was enkele dagen geleden aanwezig op de All-Star and Legends Celebrity Softball Game in Washington D.C.
